Armed with two turntables and a mixer, Daniel “DJ” Crespo has quickly become of the top open-format DJs in in the world. Criss-crossing the globe while playing over 150 shows a year, Crespo’s unique style of open format has become a staple of top clubs, parties and festivals all over the world. You can also catch Crespo as the live on stage DJ for young hip-hop star Jaden Smith, performing at festivals and on tour worldwide in front of hundred of thousands of fans a year with Jaden.
Born to a Filipino father and Puerto Rican mother, Crespo, has always been familiar with the word mix. He was born and raised on the North Side of Chicago where he first discovered his love for music in artists like Otis Redding, Styx, The Bee Gees and Common. Crespo discovered the sounds of Miami Bass, Reggae, Hip-Hop and House music upon moving to Miami at an early age. This combination has cultivated the eclectic style displayed in his sets today.
Crespo began DJing parties at his alma mater Florida State University, quickly sharing the stage with names like Diplo, Wiz Khalifa & Mac Miller. After graduation, Crespo began to tour nightclubs all over the country, he currently holds residencies at LIV (Miami), Marquee (Las Vegas), 1OAK (LA) and has rocked major festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival and TomorrowWorld. Crespo’s mantra & mixtape series “Good Vibrations” embodies everything he does, from fashion, to music to his perspective on life.
